What's the difference between RAM and ROM?

 RAM AND ROM

RAM stands for random access memory

ROM stands for read-only memory

RAM is volatile memory that temporarily stores the files you are working on. 

ROM is non-volatile memory that permanently stores instructions for your computer.

DRAM (pronounced DEE-RAM), is widely used as a computer’s main memory.
SRAM (pronounced S-RAM) is made up of four to six transistors.
PROM= Programmable Read-Only Memory. 
EPROM= Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory. 
EEPROM= Electrically Erasable Programmable.
